Here's a tech support tip / suggestion / request for all: avoid, boycott and disdain "ask.com" and anything related to it. It purports to be an internet service providing info and answers, but is instead an evil malware parasite that infects your computer for its own purposes. Here's what Wikipedia says, and which a friend has recently confirmed with personal experience: "Ask.com is noted for a malware toolbar that can be surreptitiously bundled in with legitimate program installations, and which generally cannot be removed from most common browsers once installed."
Avoid at all costs!
I don't know if this applies to Macs, probably not.
