Maryland, you can solve this problem...

When a National Football League player from Baltimore, Maryland, spoke out in favor of gay marriage, a Maryland state delegate (i.e., a member of the state legislature) and homophobe named Emmett C. Burns, Jr., wrote a letter to the owner of team asking him to "inhibit such expressions from your employee."

Nice.
